Handrail maintenance is important for several reasons, including:

A timely control of the tightening of the support screws in the wall and between the various joints that compose it
If the handrail is made of wood, check that there are no splinters in the wood due to its wear.
If instead it is made of iron, it is important that it won't start to rust where we hold on to.

Remember safety first, the handrail is your support in going up and down the ladder!
